I expressed reservations about this bloody ball before the tournament. This new example of Anglo German, FIFA induced technology has as much to answer for ruining the tournament to date as those blessed horns blown by a new generation of not too knowlegable fans.
Though most of the players are much maligned on the quality served up so far, I cannot believe that so many full time pros are blasting crosses to the other touchline and shots 20 feet over the bar (a La Bailey).
This incessant tinkering by FIFA to try to find a ball that will result in more goals and popularise the game for the armchair viewers has further ruined the tournament. Various parties are trying to get away with saying it is all due to the thinness and general air characterstics and atmosphere: balderdash!
If promoted, we must resist 'moving with the times' and not be coerced into adopting this ball.
I sometimes wonder whether a good old fashioned leather ball would improve the game!!

- A south east London boy, attending school in Deptford which had a 50/50 CAFC/ Millwall fan base (I chose the right team!). First Valley appearance in 1958 versus Notts County in penultimate game of the season. Next up was the last game against Blackburn and amongst 30,000 on the old East terrace in a crowd of around 56,435 willing a win to return immediately to the old First Division. We failed, and it took over 30 years to return and let me see football at the top flight. Now fighting for our lives back at the Valley, cheered on by me, my CAFCPICKS stalwarts and other old mates from Old Addeyans and the distant past. Now on the right track to rewarding our faithful fans with top flight football.

-They might have to wear proper boots in that event.
I suppose playing with a beach ball has evened things up a bit (except for the Germans who have been using it for a year) but it is yet another example of Blatter and co. not really knowing the game they are supposed to be running.
